Creekers, WAKE UP! If you lose this basic necessity, you will feel it in untold ways. There are seniors and.locals that cannot drive that rely on getting their basics locally. The local restaurants rely on getting some basic supplies locally. There are many people that live and work locally. IF the grocery

You WILL lose the convenience of getting essential foods locally. The restaurants, other local businesses, the local economy (think employment), every aspect of the community will be affected.

And realty values will plummet. Bragg Creek has survived for many years based on having a local community and economy. Please do not let that die for the sake of supporting big business in the big city, all doe the sake of saving a few dollars on your grocery bill!

I find it so sad that the true heart of the community, the FOOD store is not being supported. Many times I would realize I was running low on a basic ingredient for a meal. I could easily hop in my car for the 7 minute commute to Family Foods for the necessities to complete my meal. What if I had to drive the 30 minute, one way, trip to Calgary or Cochrane to get an onion, for example. I would sometimes find myself in Calgary to visit family but needed groceries for dinner. Rather than deal with the big malls, I would happily drive back to Bragg Creek for groceries. I did not have to deal with crazy parking lots, big stores, searching for things, etc. I could pull in to my familiar parking lot, check my mail at the post office and go get groceries where the people knew my name, the butcher would get me whatever I wanted. Lori knew my food sensitivities and could suggest foods I could eat. Yes, maybe it cost me an extra $2 or $3 dollars, but my my time and peace of mind were worth far more than that!

Great store that has everything you need if your camping and forgot to bring something! Fresh produce and the meat is good. Prices are also very good!

I lived in Bragg Creek for over 20 years. We saw doctors come and go, we saw retail shops come and go, but we always had the basics. Groceries, hardware, and liquor. Even after the flood of 2013 the first shops open were the locals that ran the grocers, hardware, and liquor stores.

I love this place because they carry some hard to find items that I can't find at my regular places... So I always make a point to drop in when I'm in the area.
